How much space do you need?

In an ideal world 5x3 meters is a good amount of space but we can accommodate 4x2 meters. We are used to being cosy due to lack of space so don’t panic if your venue is smaller than most, we will make it work.

How is it best to time things?

This is your special day or event so the timings are in your control, however from our years of experience the below does really work well for both you and ourselves.

7.30pm - 8pm – Background music
8pm - 8.45pm – DJ set
8.45pm - 9pm – Cut cake, photos, first dance
9pm – 10pm – First live band set
10pm – 10:30pm – DJ set
10:30pm - 11:30pm – 2nd live band set
11:30pm - 12am - DJ end set

We do advise not having the buffet served at the same time we are performing, you will find that people will unfortunately choose to feed their faces rather than dancing and to be honest, we don’t blame them.

Can I pick the bands playlist?

You are more than welcome to send in requests/suggestions from our repertoire, we also are happy for you to tell us songs that you really wouldn’t like to hear. Within good notice we will do our best to accommodate this, however we ask that you let us do what we do best when it comes to our performance.

We will take into consideration the crowd or your guests that we are presented with and we can read what will work well whilst we perform, this comes down to tempo, keys, genre and style. As they say “you get what you pay for” and we deliver professionalism to a high standard on all accounts.

Where will you travel to?

There is no limitation on where we will travel, we are based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, but no destination is too far for us.

Can I see you play live?

Most of our performances are private events but from time to time we do play open shows, details of these can be found on our Facebook page.

Will you learn our special song?

We are always happy to do first dance requests or any type of request, as long as this is something we as a band can perform to the best of our capabilities with the instruments we use.

Is the video on your website a true reflection of the band?

As good as our video is it never truly gives an accurate view of our live performance, you have to factor in the energy of the day and the vibe we feed off from you and your guest. They all have a big say on how you feel about a performance, but don’t let this put you off. Our videos are high quality reflections of us in a professional manner, detailed to help you see what we do.

How do I book you?

Are you able to DJ in between sets?

Absolutely! We have a laptop with a massive selection of dance floor fillers from all eras and genres. Music playlists between sets comes as standard with every booking. We also offer a DJ package upgrade option where one of the band members will man the laptop all night to take requests and make basic announcements. This DJ package is an additional upgrade option.

Can we make DJ requests in advance to my event?

If you would like to have certain songs added to the DJ playlist then just let us know, 7 days notice prior to your event is sufficient for us to put this in place for you.

Can we use your sound system for speeches?

You are more than welcome to use one of our microphones through our system for speeches, please note that this option is only available if your speeches will be in the same room as to where we will be performing and the use of a microphone and our PA is for speeches only.

What equipment do you use?

2200 watt QTX PA suitable for 200 plus people.
2 x 600 watt front of house 16” speakers
2 x 400 watt 18” subs
1 x 16 channel Allen & Heath Qu-16 mixing desk
2 x HK 10” active monitors.

Do you have lights?

We use two T-bar LED stage lights, enough to light up any regular stage area. Additional par cans are available on request.

How long do you play for?

Our usual performance time is 2 x 60 minutes but we are open to other suggestions for your event.

What time do you start and finish?

We usually start around 8pm/9pm after the first dance, this all depends on your event. We are very flexible with times.

How long do you take to set up?

Should access to your venue be sufficient then our estimated set up time is 90 mins, this is to make sure we have a good sound for the performance as well as making sure everything is safe under the risk assessment laws for yourselves and ourselves.

Can I provisionally book you?

We are unable to take provisional bookings due to demands from other clients, but we take every enquiry seriously and your interest will be logged in our system.

What if the band split up before my event?

All members of the band are professional musicians and take our line of work very seriously, if for any unfortunate reason the band were to spit then we would make arrangements to provide you with a band equivalent to our selves that are just as professional and that we know will do just as good a job as we would.

Can my sisters/bosses/daughters dog sing with your band?

We are happy for guests to join us for a sing a long but due to some previous not so good experiences doing this, we prefer advance warning so we can make sure things run smoothly and every body has fun.

What will the band wear?

We like to be dressed very smart at all of our performances, sometimes we like to have a change and have new attire but we will always be dressed to impress.

Does the band have PAT and PLI certificates?

Yes all our equipment has been tested and insured up to date, we can and will supply all documentation confirming this if needs be.

Why should I book Tuxedo?

We love what we do and treat every performance like its our last, we aim to bring something unique and explosive to your event to make you happy and your guests forever talk about your day.

How much does it cost to book the band?

We have to take a few things into consideration before we can give a quote, for example, traveling costs, performance times, venue and finishing times. Therefore your quote will differ to the next person.

Does Tuxedo have any specific requirements?

Food, drinks, somewhere for us to get changed and relax before in between and after our sets.

What type/size venues are you able to play at?

We can play and have played at a vast amount of different sized venues across the country and happy to continue doing so, no matter how small or large.

How loud will the band be?

Our sound levels are carefully monitored at every event, but please do speak with the venue and also one of our booking agents at the time of your enquiry if you have any queries on dB limiters and sound.

What is the band power requirement?

At least 2 double 13amp power sockets would be enough power for us, this helps separate sound and lighting to help reduce any interference.

Does Tuxedo offer any additional services?

You have an option of a free of charge DJ service if you book within 7 days of receiving your official quotation.
